A quiet month here in Lyme Bay on The Dorset Jurassic Coast.
Huge rain falls and flooding caused rivers to burst and shut most of Bridport down. Check out our picture of the river flowing into the harbour at West Bay from Saturday 7th July.
Some charters have gone ahead including the Explorer Scouts who had fantastic conditions for their RIB Blasts and also The Birmingham Teachers who enjoyed their Jurassic Coastal Cruise.
Fingers crossed for the hen parties this weekend who are out on RIBs and Zapcats with us…

At last, the winds eased enough for us to go to sea!
Sunday saw us take both RIBs along the Jurassic Coast and into Lyme Regis before returning to West Bay.
Plenty of big waves & spray to play in along the way & everyone enjoyed the final treat of the their weekend before heading back to Birmingham.

Had a lovely run across Lyme Bay this morning dropping passenger taking the Jurassic Coast Link between West Bay and Lyme Regis.

New for 2012, LBRC are pleased to offer the DORSET ZAPCAT EXPERIENCE…
Your expert driver will put the Zapcat through 90 180 degree turns at high speed as well as getting air born from the wake of our RIBs or just over the waved and surf!!!
These incredible little race ready surf rescue craft are able to out accelerate and out manoeuvre our 250hp RIBs!!!
Your job as co pilot is to balance the Zapcat through the turns and jumps…!

Summer weather is at last with us here on Dorset’s Jurassic Coast and Lyme Bay RIB Charter is in full swing…!
RIB charters from the quayside are going well with the West Bay Blast & the Coastal Cruises filling most days.
The Water Taxi service between West Bay and Lyme Regis is running on Sundays, Tuesdays & Thursdays, contact us to book your seats.
The dolphins joined us for 2 days last week & several lucky people got to see them up close as they jumped alongside the RIB & swam in our wakes as we travelled the coast.
Wakeboard & Waterski Wednesday is also running now from 6pm. call to get your space on the RIB & on the water!
Red Bull Harbour Reach event will go ahead on Friday 30th July & Lyme Bay RIB Charter will be taking the RIBs over to Lyme Regis for the evening to join in the event. Spaces available on board at the moment but not for long so get in quick to be part of the action…! see our facebook page for details…

This foul unseasonal weather might be upon us but RIB charter hasnt been so much fun for a long time!
Students from Beaminster School joined us on Dorsets Jurassic Coast today as part of their Activities Week fun…
The lumpy seas and resulting spray only seemed to add to the excitement and fuel every ones screaming..!
Even Sir had a huge grin on his face…

RIB charter on Dorset’s Jurassic Coast has never been more fun with this run of sunshine!
Sunday saw a boat full of 8 year olds blasting around the bay for a birthday treat, all returned noisey and smiling!
RIB charter for families and groups has also been popular recently with 1hr, 2hr and half day charters offering plenty of time afloat to view the stunning Lyme Bay coastline.
Stag and Hen groups are visiting us in West Bay and enjoying time on the water too…

July has brought the sun out the charter RIBs have been busy on Dorsets Jurassic Coast!
Birthday celebrations on the RIBs have been a popular choice recently with age ranges from 7 to 70!
Plenty of visitors to West Bay over the last week including an ITV film crew making a series with Dick Strawbridge called the Coastal Cook, and wildlife visitors including jellyfish, gannets, and even a basking shark… Havent seen the dolphins yet though…!

After an overcast start to the day, the sun broke through as Lyme Bay RIB Charter dropped a full compliment of passengers at Lyme Regis Harbour today.
A beautiful return journey along the Jurassic Coast back to West Bay with flat calm seas!
This afternoons Coastal Cruise happened in near perfect conditions, and left one young 6 year old with a huge birthday treat smile on her face..!
Daily Coastal Cruises, Blasts, and regular Water Taxi link along the Jurassic Coast.
